The keyboard worked fine for the first few weeks I had it, but suddenly 2 weeks ago the same 4 keys malfunctioned for me. This keyboard does not have a NUM_LOCK key and ASUS has no references to the problem. Have only had the computer for about one month, USB keyboard works fine but cumbersome with laptop. The actions performed by the function keys (F1 - F12) is controlled by the manufacturer of your laptop, not Windows.
